Vietnam Welcomes Two Asian Black Bears to Central Home

A household in Phung Thuong Commune, Phuc Tho District, Hanoi have willingly surrendered two bears to the authorities. Animals Asia is a Hong Kong-based charity dedicated to combating animal cruelty in Asia. Both bears were declared to be in good health. The Vietnam Bear Sanctuary on Bach Ma Mountain is proud to introduce its first two residents, Armstrong and Buzz. These two bears are the pioneers of the sanctuary and serve as ambassadors for all the bears that will come after them. We are honored to have them as part of our community. The exhibition showcased a wide range of postal stamps, envelopes, letters, and postcards related to President Ho Chi Minh. The collection included stamps issued by Vietnam and other countries featuring President Ho Chi Minh, as well as stamps depicting the cities where he lived and worked. The exhibition was organized by Nguyen Dai Hung Loc, the vice chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Philatelic Association, with the aim of promoting the study and appreciation of President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morals, and lifestyle. Vietnamese Athlete Secures Spot in 2024 Olympics

Tuyen performed exceptionally well in the qualifying round of the women’s 10m air rifle event at the Asian tournament, scoring an impressive 627.8 points. This secured her a place in the final. On the other hand, her teammate, Phi Thanh Thao, scored 625.2 points, which placed her in the 26th position, ending her run at the competition. Out of the eight finalists, five had already qualified for the Paris Olympics. Tuyen needed to outperform Amini Pozveh of Iran and Huiyi Tan of Singapore for one of the remaining two available Olympic berths. Guided by coach Nguyen Duy Hoang, Tuyen finished in fourth place overall with a score of 125.9, officially securing herself a place at the 2024 Paris Olympics, scheduled from July 26 to August 11.
